New Orleans Hornets

The expansion Charlotte Bobcats look to post back-to-back victories for just the second time in team history when they meet the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday.

The Bobcats' only consecutive victories in team history came in December, including a 94-93 overtime win against the Hornets on December 14. Rookie Emeka Okafor posted 20 points and 12 rebounds and hit a pair of free throws with 5.7 seconds remaining in overtime to clinch the win.

Charlotte is coming off a 94-87 triumph over the injury-plagued Sacramento Kings on Tuesday. Primoz Brezec scored 19 points and Gerald Wallace added 16 points for the Bobcats.

Brevin Knight collected 17 points and 10 assists and Okafor notched his second straight double-double, posting 11 points and 13 rebounds.

In five games since coming off the injured list, Okafor has averaged just under 16 points while grabbing 10 rebounds.

The Hornets have lost four straight games, including a 90-86 defeat against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday. Lee Nailon scored 14 points and P.J. Brown added his 21st double-double of the season with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Rookie J.R. Smith scored 10 points against Dallas and averaged just under 15 points in February.
